Weigh belts and weigh-feeders of the NPW Series from General Dosing handle raw materials in powder, granules or flakes. In the milling industry, for example, they are used to dose raw or flaked cereals and dried or dehydrated fruit.
The conveying and dosing device is a flat or concave belt driven by a gear motor mounted to the tow roller. Having no moving mechanical components, the weighing and feeding units do not damage the product. For this reason, they are ideal for handling particularly fragile products or more generally when the product’s original particle size has to be preserved.
Thanks to the regular dosing flow the product distributes evenly on the belt and it comes out as a waterfall flow. The height of the transport bed can be changed by means of a manually adjustable gate, to optimize the dosing capacity according to the product characteristics.
The product on the belt is continuously weighed by a weigh portal with load cells connected to an idle roller placed approximately halfway of the belt. The off-center or flexion type load cells are made of aluminium or stainless steel and are available also in ATEX version.
